Star Student Project

With the adjustment of multilayer interrupt coalescing (AMLIC) rates, an additional percent CPU utilization is saved. With Star Student Project efficient interrupt coalescing, virtual RSS can achieve a higher throughput than the baseline (a single threaded back-end driver) with 10 Gbps networking. We implement and compare three versions of the parallelized back-end driver using multiple tasklets, multiple kernel threads, and multiple high-priority kernel threads. The Star Student Project multiple tasklet solution leads to the best performance.
