Star Student Project continues the authors’ previous work by supplementing the analytical predictions given in with experimental results and a more detailed analysis. Series and parallel system configurations are discussed and it is shown, that the parallel configuration is virtually free of cross-coupling effects, thus providing significantly better performance in distributed maximum power-point tracking (DMPPT) applications.
