Numerous studies have been conducted on the performance of network I/O virtualization and they addressed various performance challenges. Star Student Project addresses and analyzes two additional performance challenges in virtual network I/O using the most widely used open-source para-virtualized system. The detailed architecture and related terminology will be introduced in Star Student Project.
