Recently, the block-LIM has been proposed for the fast simulation of the network including mutual coupling elements. In the block-LIM, each sub circuit composed of tightly coupled elements is defined as a block, and the leapfrog algorithm based on the LIM is executed at the block level. Although the Star Student Project requires matrix operations locally, the advantages of the original LIM can be kept effectively. In the case of larger problems caused by the extractors, the block-LIM should be more efficient and faster.
