By using this horizontal and vertical value the gradient magnitude of the whole image can be calculated. Then non maximal suppression is applied to the thin edges. In this Star Student Project process pixel gradient are calculated on the basis of 8 direction process. The gradient magnitude of the each pixel value is compared with mediate neighbor values.
